Lot # 1001
This historic Pixie Land Animated Show was built in the 30's by a husband, wife and son in Australia and took a total of 15 years to construct. All of the animated characters are hand carved with all moving parts. It was later installed into a 32ft trailer that can be pulled by a pickup. It has a hydraulic jack to raise and lower for connecting to the truck. The unit was tested in 2004 and was in good working order and has been kept in dry storage since. The unit could use some minor cosmetic renovations for displaying. Following is a brief description of the show: Sixty-three little figures and animals, working and playing. All moving, riding bikes, driving cars. The little Pixies are set in a Scenic Wonderland, over 30ft long. The Pixies are only 5 inches high, move their eyes, cheeks, arms, legs, and heads. The mechanical animation of everything is truly amazing as the Pixies are drilling, welding, pumping up tires, taking showers, and playing all kinds of musical instruments. In Nursery Rhyme Land, there is Old Mother Hubbard, Bo Peep, Little Boy Blue, Old Woman in the Show with all her children, Santa Claus and Rudolph with his red nose blinking on and off. They are all moving, but in a mysterious and a clever way. You cannot discover what makes them move. It's clever, fascinating, funny entertainment!
