Auburn, IN - Are you an avid basketball fan? Do you love collector cars? If so, the Kruse Auction Park is the place to be May 18 - 21, 2006 for the 15th Annual Auburn Spring MotorFair. Former Indiana Hall of Famer Kent Benson will be on site each day at 2 PM to sign personalized autographed photos. He will also be at the Duesenburg Building at 1 PM on Sunday for a Motivational Speech geared towards children. Kids will be admitted free to attend this event. Please call Kruse for additional details. Kent Benson is the father of 4 girls and has one granddaughter. He is currently an Independent Representative of Lightyear Network Solutions, Weddell Communications, and Timber Buyer. Benson earned numerous awards, honors and recognitions throughout his basketball career. He was named "Indiana Mr. Basketball", was one of only three in Indiana University history to grab more than 1000 rebounds, a member of the 1976 undefeated National Championship team, the 1976 NCAA Most Outstanding Player and was named to the 1976 Olympic team. He was 2 time Academic All Big Ten and 2 time Academic All American. In 1977, Benson was drafted #1 in the NBA by the Milwaukee Bucks. Benson played in the NBA for a total of 11 years for 4 different teams. He retired from the NBA in 1989 and was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame later that year. Benson is involved in many Christian organizations and has worked with numerous charities and civic organizations.
