Auburn, IN – The Kruse International Auburn Spring MotorFair kicks off today, Thursday May 31, 2007 at the 480-acre Kruse Auction Park. It is tradition that each Kruse auction starts with Russell Kruse, the late founder of Kruse International singing “Back Home Again in Indiana.”
The founder of Kruse International, Russell W. Kruse, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 9am at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was 85 years old and had just survived major heart surgery about 3 weeks earlier and was getting ready to be released for rehabilitation when he suffered a massive stroke that ended his life.
This year, the Auburn Spring MotorFair will begin with a rendition in memory of Russell Kruse.
