Auburn, IN – Kruse International made history holding its Auburn Spring MotorFair held May 31 – June 3, 2007 at the Kruse Auction Park with one of the most famous movie cars ever held sold at auction. It was a packed house with bidders who traveled from all over the country to view some of the most rare and desirable cars around. The sales total reached over $8 million!
The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car from the MGM 1968 movie crossed one of three rings at the auction June 2. People crowded around to view this one-of-a-kind vehicle. Dean Kruse, President of Kruse International shouts through the microphone, “This is a once in a lifetime chance to bid on one of the most rare and desirable movie cars ever built!” Ralph Spencer was the lucky high bidder buying the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car for $505,000.
