Auburn, IN – Kruse International is pleased to announce that Hall of Fame pitcher, Bob Feller will make a special celebrity appearance at its Labor Day festivities. Feller, who was honored as the “greatest pitcher of his time” by Sporting News, will spend Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2 joining the event at various activities. Bob Feller was baseball’s biggest drawing card, with an average of an additional 10,000 fans turning out to games he was scheduled to pitch.

Feller will spend time at the World’s Largest Collector Car Show and Auction on Saturday before visiting the World War II Victory Museum, where he will be a special guest at the recently announced Motorcycle Madness Freedom Expo. The Expo will showcase many rare World War II era motorcycles and the Motorcycle Madness will have many related activities for cycle enthusiasts to enjoy. Admission to the main rotunda Freedom Expo is free. Bob Feller is one of the nation’s best-known World War II veterans, enlisting in the Navy just one day after Pearl Harbor. His service as an anti-aircraft gunner aboard the USS Alabama came at the height of his career. To this day, baseball historians speculate that he might have won 350 games and recorded nearly 3,500 strikeouts had he not joined the military.

Sunday, Feller will serve as the Honorary Chairman of the 3rd annual Auburn Concours. He will present the Chairman’s trophy during the show, which showcases some of the finest examples of automobiles and is open to the public.

During its 37 year history, the Kruse Auburn Auction has attracted celebrities including Jay Leno, Wayne Newton, Larry Hagman, Clive Cussler, Lauren Hutton, and Reggie Jackson who come to experience the world’s largest collector car auction. The auction will also feature many celebrity cars including the Batmobile, the General Lee, Nicolas Cage’s Corvette, and Herbie the Lovebug. The auction action begins on Thursday, August 30 and continues thru Tuesday, September 4 with over 5,000 cars at the 480-acre Kruse Auction Park.
